And everybody shouting, shouting... Abdullah, aged 7, was detained with his mother and brothers in Dungavel detention centre in the UK. 'We were in prison. I did not understand' Is there words in the English language to describe this obscenity? 2003-10-06
Someday I'll have an hour to myself..... but it's unlikely to be in this lifetime! Last weeks adventures include Half day discussion with N, our writer on the history project Meeting with doctor C and discussing the circumcision issue. The Policy and Poverty course in the college Finally yielding to pressure and joining the national executive Researching the situation in Cabinda, Angola. Changing web servers Helping set up a Muslim family group. (Now, that's a really strange occupation for an atheist!) All day Friday with a support group that we would like to emulate. Realising that we can't continue as we are. We need proper funding and fulltime workers. If three of the present volunteers drop out we come to a screeching halt. Self and wife no 1 visiting wife no.2 who now lives down the country. Wonder, not for the first time, what on Earth I ever did before the site opened? |
