It's always good to keep an eye on what's happening next door.... Generally the ROI authorities don't do anything new until it's been in action for a few months there. Us and them .... An interesting one from Paddy Linehan in the Financial Times Ireland's plenty Nina, an elderly woman from the Ukraine died and was buried in Glasnevin. 'In a week the soil subsided, the cross leaned and nearly fell but he straightened it up. He'll have to do that again and again. Its precariousness is a metaphor for the existence of her compatriots whether at home in Kiev or in a high damp flat in inner Dublin. |
